it used to be yearly. our ada transition plan is to remove barriers within the city's buildings and facilities where we provide programs to the public. there are more than 600 facilities. these were surveyed back in 1999, 2000. and then from that we distilled which projects needed to have specific attention where, say, other departments such as the library were fully funded for building renovations and repairs through bond work. we pecked up the projects that weren't -- be picked up the projects that weren't going to benefit from those capital programs. so our goal is -- the ada transition plan is a uniform physical access strategy. it is a list of proposed design and construction projects, not program access. its goal is to do better than the minimum requirements of the ada and have accessible services through the facilities and opportunities for accessible employment. we do have an exception and that's the recreation and parks department which has over 40 sites and of course they've had over $700 million

working with us part time. and he worked at another school that i will not mention, the other half of the day. and so the following year we were very happy that he chose to come to downtown high school to be a full time counselor and he is in his 6th year now, at downtown high school and we had to argue about that, he told me it was five and i had to show him the numbers to prove that it was six years, by having a good time, time flies, and is he a wonderful economic counselor to our students and as mark mentioned, he knows the community, and he does home visits, he has connections in the community, where they come and give our students rides, when he takes them to the city college on an orientation and he has really built up the college growing culture at downtown high school. and revamping our whole college and career pathway, and organizing city college testing at our site and we have not had that for a long time and the last couple of times it was a full house, you know, we had 25 seats, in 25 students came

i'm the chair of the ocean land use and housing committee. i'm here today to ska ask you a personal thing. there have been 3 attempts to change sequa by 3 supervisors and all 3 of them never changed the final approval trigger. this one did change it changed if from final approval to first approval that's a big deal first year we insisted on keeping the first approval. and after negotiations we found that was not possible so we had to compromise our first strongest need and we do compromise that because we saw in order to this process to continue we gave. so, now at this point what we need it a method to appeal the e r os decision. the e r o is very confident but open some occasion there may be a gray area. for example, if there's a change in the building envelope well, i'm sure the building envelope can be tweaked. and they as that's not significant. but if they say that's a change but it's not substantial that's not a big deal. in this case if there's a hearing we could bring up points of use that perhaps the environmental officer didn't see
